Jet Ski Club Charter

The organization shall be known as the West Oz Jet Sport, hereinafter referred to as "the Club."

Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Club is to promote the sport of jet skiing, foster a sense of community among enthusiasts, ensure the safety and development of its members, particularly junior riders, and encourage responsible use of waterways.

Vision Statement:

To be the premier community of WA for Jet Ski enthusiasts, promoting a passion for water sports through safety, skill development, and environmental stewardship, while working alongside government authorities to ensure sustainable access to waterways and the responsible growth of our sport, creating unforgettable experiences for riders of all levels.

West OZ Jet Sports Goals:

Encourage participation in Jet Skiing by organizing events, rides, and competitions.
Provide training and resources to ensure members are knowledgeable about safety protocols, equipment use, and environmental regulations.
Foster a sense of community among Jet Ski enthusiasts by facilitating social events, group outings, and networking opportunities.
Represent the interests of Jet Ski riders in discussions with local authorities and environmental bodies, advocating for access to waterways and fair regulations.
Promote responsible use of waterways, emphasizing environmental conservation and the protection of marine ecosystems.
Offer training sessions and workshops to improve members’ riding skills, technical knowledge, and maintenance abilities.
Offer Junior development program aimed at developing the skills of junior members, including training, mentorship, and safety education.
Provide members with access to resources such as equipment rentals, repair services, and discounts on related products.
Organize races, time trials, and recreational events to challenge members and enhance their enjoyment of the sport.


West OZ Jet Sports Junior Goals:


Encouraging junior development in jet skiing is vital for the future of the sport, and it starts with a strong emphasis on safety. By providing young riders with comprehensive training and resources, we help them build the skills they need to excel while prioritizing safe practices on the water. Supporting junior talent and safety together ensures a thrilling and secure environment, fostering a new generation of confident, responsible jet skiers.

West OZ Jet Sports Governance:

Membership is open to all individuals with an interest in jet skiing, regardless of skill level.
Membership Categories
Junior Members Riders under the age of 18
Family Membership available for families with multiple members participating.
Membership dues shall be determined annually by the Club’s Executive Committee. Dues must be paid by all members to remain in good standing.
The Club shall be governed by an Executive Committee composed of the following officers:
President: Oversees the Club’s activities and represents the Club in all official matters.
Vice President: Assists the President and assumes their duties in their absence.
Secretary: Maintains meeting minutes, membership records, and Club documentation.
Treasurer: Manages the Club’s finances, including dues collection and budgeting.
Safety Officer: Ensures compliance with safety standards and organizes safety training for members.
Elections shall be elected annually by a majority vote of the members.
General membership meetings shall be held quarterly.

West OZ Jet Sports Activities and Events:

The Club will organize regular group rides, races, and events for members to participate in, with a focus on both fun and skill development.
Regular safety training sessions will be available for all members, with special focus sessions for junior riders to ensure their understanding and adherence to safety protocols.


West OZ Jet Sports Code of Conduct

All members must follow safety protocols, wear appropriate safety gear (e.g., life vests), and ensure their Jet Ski is in good working condition before each ride.
Members must respect speed limits, traffic rules, and local regulations regarding watercraft operations.
Treat fellow club members, other water users, and the public with courtesy and respect.
Avoid reckless or dangerous behavior that could endanger others or cause damage to property.
Avoid littering and dispose of waste properly to protect the environment.
Respect marine life and aquatic ecosystems by avoiding sensitive areas and following conservation guidelines.
Follow all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to Jet Skiing and watercraft operation.
Cooperate with law enforcement, marine patrols, and government authorities when necessary.
Represent the club in a positive manner during all events, rides, and public interactions.
Compete in club events with integrity, respecting officials.
All members are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship, respect fellow riders, and adhere to the rules of the Club.
Members must follow all safety guidelines as outlined by the Club, local authorities and affiliated clubs.
Avoid cheating, unsportsmanlike behavior, or any action that could harm the reputation of the club or its members.
Operating a Jet Ski under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
Members are expected to be sober and in full control while riding or participating in club activities.
Maintain personal Jet Skis and equipment in good condition, ensuring they are safe and meet regulatory standards.
Club members should respect shared or rented club equipment, returning items in good condition after use.
Any disputes or disagreements among members should be resolved respectfully and through appropriate club channels, such as a designated mediator or committee.
Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Members are encouraged to actively participate in club events, meetings, and initiatives.
Support and contribute to the club’s goals of safety, skill development, and community building.

By adhering to this code of conduct, members help create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone in the Jet Ski community.
